Fish & Co @ 沙田 (26-12-07)
很久以前吃過幾次西餐廳的煎魚炸魚後，從此就認定西餐廳絕不會弄出甚麼好魚來，任由經理再說得天花亂墬，都一口拒絕。
今天來到沙田新城市廣場，已經過了午飯時段，隨便走走，看見Fish & Co有露天茶座，就走進去。
本來只想叫個蒜蓉包、沙律之類，但看見鄰檯一家五口每人一個炸魚，又有點心思思，再想一下Fish & Co是國際性的炸魚專門店，總不應該難吃吧。
炸魚來了，以煎pan做碟，再放在魚形隔熱板上，有點特色。炸魚做得很不錯，外面一層薄薄的脆漿，魚肉也很嫩滑。西式魚最好的一點是去骨，其實我這種不懂吐骨的人是應該只吃炸魚柳的。

I love to eat fish and chips, tender and juicy fish and very thick potato chips! I used to buy the most delicious (at least to me anyway ) fish & chips I ever tasted at a restaurant that used to be located beside the HSBC back on Hopewell building in Wan Chai. However, its gone now and I can't remember the name of that restaurant, so I don't know if there are any branches that still exist in HK. Anyone among you knows the name of that restaurant? I heard that they taste like the authentic fish & chips that people buy in UK.
回覆刪除These last few years, we tried several places, and although I found them acceptable, I still miss the taste of those that I used to eat in Wan Chai.

I will try to do that, Isis. I'm not sure how successful I am going to be, because that shop closed and was replaced by Amaroni years ago. I'll be lucky if one of the nearby shops would still remember the name of the fish and chips place. But I will try your suggestion. I hope the people in the nearby shops will be accommodating. Actually, I was kind of hoping that you might have eaten there and would know about the shop's name. You go out and eat alot more than we do, you see.

Its good, better than Delaney's or some fish n chips place near Hollywood road and Old Bailey road. By the way, we went to Fish & Co. tonight. You're right, they have good fish n chips. Thanks for telling us about it. I still miss the one in Wan Chai though.

回覆刪除Isis, I finally found the name of that restaurant.........it's the "Harry Ramsden's". They only have one branch in HK at that time, but closed later due to poor business. It's very famous in UK and they have alot of branches there and some in other parts of the world. Too bad they gave up on HK.
