山頭火



山頭火 @ 康怡廣場 (28-06-09)




多次經過,門外人龍打蛇餅,龍尾也找不到。所以,雖然很有興趣,也得掉頭走。

這次八點半經過,只有五六個人排隊,見機不可失,馬上跟着排隊,不消三五分鐘,後面又排了十多人。

排隊等位時,服務員先給你看餐牌及預先落單,入座後很快就有得吃。



座位少,餐牌內選擇也不多。拉麵湯底有四款口味:鹽味、豉油味、麵豉味、辣味。定食是一碗迷你拉麵加一個XX飯或小食。

芥末豬頸叉燒肉 $50


鹽味拉麵 $58


吉列豬扒定食 $95


餐牌上說定食的拉麵是迷你的,但我就看不出跟散叫的拉麵有大小的差別。

湯底是濃濃的豬骨湯,浮着一層油。义燒非常肥美,只是,兩片紙薄的义燒也實在太吊癮。

吉列豬扒肉質非常淋,肉色非常白,毫無肉味。至於豬頸肉也只是一般。觀乎全餐,還是浮在湯裏那兩片义燒最美味。

回家後,喝了一公升水!

They are famous for their ramens, therefore I don't expect much from their other dishes; actually I didn't even bother to try their other stuffs.  Their Southern California locations which I used to frequent only have four kinds of ramen and four kinds of rice bowls. All of their soups are pork bone and shellfish based and are flavored with salt, soy sauce, miso, and hot miso.  It's not the healthiest food, I agree.  The oily soup is part of their style; this chain is from Hokkaido.  From Rameniac's review: " Due to the cold climate, an extra layer of oil is added to lock in heat for the duration of the meal." "... if you happen to hate your arteries, the tokusen toroniku ramen option... will quickly turn you on to how they really do it across the Pacific"

    [版主回覆07/15/2009 22:50:00]我不介意那層油,其實也只是薄薄的一層油,我甚至認為雲吞麵有豬油會比較好食。我受不了的是那極重手的味精!

  11. We drive almost 45-60 min to Torrance or Costa Mesa (in Southern California) to get their ramens - the pork is just excellent, wonder how they can make it so good.  I hate the top oily level soup too.  Can't help.  It costs less to have them in HK. lucky you.
