Yamm @ Hotel Miramar (09-07-08)
踏進Yamm,氣勢懾人,高高的樓底,幾盞大吊燈,中間一行背對背半圓形梳化,黑、金、銀的金屬裝飾,配合着幽暗的燈光,很有大都會氣派。
那邊枱與枱闊落得可以再加張枱,我們這邊卻迫得跟鄰枱並肩而坐。不過,從鄰枱與waiter的說話內容來看,他們應該是借勢力人仕臨時加枱的。來這裏可要兩三星期前訂位。
一枱五人,我最早到,一坐下來,水、麵包、各款醬汁隨即放在枱上,跟著waitress細心講解各式麵包、醬汁,還有他們的menu。
Yamm的buffet是半自助式。每人一個蝦湯,四款主菜(煎和牛扒、燒金槍魚、茶燻乳鴿、帶子海膽三文魚子飯)任選其一。我叫的主菜是乳鴿。
其他四人叫的都是煎和牛扒,眾人看見那bite-sized和牛扒有點失望,因為完全沒有半點油花,但肉質依然嫩滑。
壽司、手卷、刺身、天婦羅、鐵板燒、爐端燒、冷麵等日本料理全部只須向侍應落單,即叫即做,數量不限。
當然,亦可以到四張自助餐枱上親自挑選,冷盤有龍蝦、阿拉斯加蟹腳、蝦、即開生蠔、即切西班牙火腿、即切煙三文魚、即撈Caesar salad等。熱葷有西班牙海鮮炒飯、咖哩、羊、雞等。甜品有蛋糕、雪糕、mousse、jelly等,很多甜品都以金箔點綴,金箔雖不是好味道的食物,但卻令甜品顯得高貴。
熱葷枱是最冷清,那個西班牙海鮮炒飯只剩下炒飯,可能一般人受不了這種生米。
甜品枱上有一款疑似生雞蛋的甜品,蛋黃是芒果汁,蛋白是香茅汁,味道不怎麼特別,但這是第一次見識份子料理。
還要說的是,這裏的服務非常好,禮貌週週,笑面迎人。差不多十點了,有人才發覺沒有見過生雞蛋、金箔荔枝啫喱、蟹腳,waitress馬上走進廚房給我們找出來。
大家都並沒有試齊過全部各款食物,但一致認為,食物款式雖不算多,但材料講究,雖然$458+10%(包一杯飲品),但絕對是賺了。
對,食物不用太多,其實大家也吃不了多少,不如在材料上講究一些更好 .
回覆刪除我老公最討厭吃buffet, 一聽buffet一字就耍手擰頭 . 其實我哋唔係好大食,特別係Emily, 次次食buffet都係食少少豆腐花當主菜,真係好唔抵 !
分子料理聽得多,可真沒有試過 !
[版主回覆07/15/2008 23:11:00]其實我都唔鍾意食 buffet 架,一般 buffet 又貴又冇乜好嘢食,有時見到嗰 d 又搶又爭嘅就更加唔開胃。
呢間 Yamm 我就好鍾意,可以落 order ,連隊都唔駛排, d 魚生火腿都用靚嘢, 喺訂位要等 耐 d 啫,我已經想去 第二次 嘞 。
D食物好靚.........不過成 $500......好貴呀 !

我最怕就係食buffet好似餓鬼 爭食,聽你講Yamm唔使爭食,咁都可以去wor !!!

最緊要主人家覺得抵.
回覆刪除Isis: Because of you.........your photos I really want to go home now. Heehee.... you guess how many times I would say this before coming home? I love the seafood. It looks very fresh and delicious. I can't take too much sashimi since my I don't have the sensitive stomach. But, all other seafood look very nice. I would be on diet for half month just because I can hang out with you to have this buffet.

回覆刪除I got confused by your statement 絕對是賺了 , thinking it means absolutely "cheap". The Chinese word for "cheap" looks too much like 賺 , to me any way. Now I know you meant it's absolutely profitable, for the restaurant, that is..
[版主回覆07/19/2008 14:20:00]因為我食的如果是 a la carte , $500 肯定不夠埋單,所以我覺得我賺了。 其實呢,當晚亦同朋友研究過以這種食物水準收 $500 是否要賠本,不過無理由做賠本生意吧。
Teacher ,你所說的 Chinese word for "cheap" 是不是 「賤」?香港人只會用「賤」來形容人,如果形容價錢,通常會用「便宜」、「平」、「抵」這些字。
